The MycoBMP (Best Management Practices) tool can help determine the risk of mold or mycotoxin problems in grain and feed

MycoBMP™

Until now, no single program or product has been available to control both mold growth and toxins in feed grain. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, Cargill developed MycoBMP™ tool, a risk management tool that can help determine the risk of mold or mycotoxin problems in grain and feed.

The MycoBMP™ tool illustrates the effects molds and mycotoxins have on grain and feed. It also contains “best management practices” to maximize the nutrient potential of finished feeds.

The MycoBMP™ tool contains the following tools helps users make better decisions when managing mold and mycotoxin problems:

An educational section detailing the effects of molds and toxins on ingredients and animals.

Toxin guidelines, including ingredient purchasing guidelines and feed formulations for a variety of species.

Sampling procedures and guidelines.

Database information and best management practices.

Calculators that measure specific conditions for grain, raw ingredients or feed to help assess risk and determine the optimal dose and timing of the product.

Utilizing MycoBMP™ and the proper dose of our products can prevent:

Over-dosing products not needed, thus avoiding the additional costs.

Under-dosing to ensure effective use of products and animal performance.
